Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 18, 2026
AirCongo (“AirCongo”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a mobile and web platform operated by ExpressCarCab, a Delaware C-Corp (“Company”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our services (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
A) Information you provide
- Account information: name, username, email, phone number, profile photo.
- Trip and package details: origin/destination, dates, luggage/package details, notes.
- Identity verification information (Travelers): government ID or other documents, selfies, and related verification data. We may also request state/government ID details (such as a driver’s license ID) where needed to verify identity and prevent fraud or impersonation.
- Messages: content you send through in-app chat and associated metadata.
- Customer support: information you share when contacting support.
B) Information collected automatically
- Location data: approximate or precise location (depending on permissions) to enable features like trip logistics, safety, and tracking.
- Device and usage data: IP address, device identifiers, OS version, app version, crash logs, and basic analytics.
- Log information: timestamps, pages/screens visited, and actions taken in the Service.
C) Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive payment-related tokens and limited details (e.g., payment status, last 4 digits, card brand) from the processor.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the Service (accounts, matching, trip/package postings, messaging).
- Identity verification and safety (including fraud prevention and compliance).
- Enable payments, refunds, and dispute handling.
- Location-based features (when enabled), including tracking and service quality.
- Customer support and communication (service updates, security alerts).
- Improve the Service (debugging, analytics, performance, product development).
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect our users and the Company.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share information in the following cases:
- Between users: limited profile information and trip/package details required to fulfill a transaction (e.g., name/username, trip details, status updates, chat).
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, customer support tools, messaging, and payment processors (e.g., Stripe) that help us run the Service.
- Identity verification partners: if used to validate traveler identity and prevent fraud.
- Legal and safety: if required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (your info may be transferred as part of that transaction).
4. Location Information
If you grant location permission, we may collect and use location data to enable features such as trip logistics, tracking, safety, and service improvements. You can disable location permissions in your device settings, but some features may not work correctly.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (including compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement). We may retain certain records even after account deletion where required or permitted by law.
6. Account Creation, Verification, and Account Deletion
A) Account creation and roles
AirCongo supports account creation for two roles: Traveler (users who post trips and may carry packages) and Sender (users who request/reserve delivery of packages on available trips).
B) Verification (USA & Canada)
To protect users, prevent fraud/impersonation, and comply with applicable laws, we may verify certain information depending on your role and the market where you use the Service (e.g., United States or Canada). Verification requirements may differ between the USA and Canada.
- Phone verification: we may verify your phone number via OTP/SMS.
- Email verification: we may verify your email address.
- Legal name: we may request your legal name for identity and safety purposes.
- Identity verification (when required): we may request government IDs or other documents (including, where applicable, state ID / driver’s license ID) to verify identity and prevent fraud.
- Market switch: if you switch markets (for example, you are physically in Canada after registering in the USA), the app may require additional verification before enabling certain actions such as posting a trip, because verification requirements and legal obligations may differ by market.
C) Safety rules for packages
Travelers must comply with our rules and applicable law. A Traveler may refuse, without penalty, any package that appears suspicious, unsafe, prohibited, or inconsistent with the provided description.
D) Account deletion (in-app)
The Service provides an in-app option for users to permanently delete their account. Account deletion is irreversible and permanently removes access to the account. After deletion, the user may not be able to reuse the same email address to create a new account, for safety and anti-fraud purposes.
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion here: https://www.aircongo.org/personnal/account-deletion.
We may block or delay deletion requests where needed to protect users and complete transactions safely, including when there are active trips/reservations, ongoing deliveries, open disputes/claims, or an outstanding balance.
- Traveler deletion conditions: a Traveler may be unable to delete the account if there is a trip in progress, active published trips that must be canceled first, an open dispute, or an outstanding balance that has not been fully withdrawn (balance must be $0.00). For safety, a delay of up to 24 hours may apply after completing a delivery/transaction.
- Sender deletion conditions: a Sender may be unable to delete the account if there is an active reservation, an ongoing delivery, or an open dispute/claim.
Even after account deletion, we may retain certain information where required or permitted by law and for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, and compliance (for example, transaction records).
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and update: you can update certain account information in the app.
- Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account in the app (subject to eligibility and conditions described above).
- Location permissions: manage via your device settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International Users
If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” and may provide additional notice in the app or on our website.
